If you sometime acquire a Kei van with a VW kit I will likely drool and be interested but not have the cash to have it shipped to me.

haha, these are usually Subaru Sambar and finding one that was actually well built AND that is exportable to the US is quite difficult... You’re probably looking at spending 6-7k$ in the truck landed to your nearest port + 6-700$ to get it fully imported.

A tail happy RX-7, that looks like quite a bit of fun. I don’t know how you are going to part from this one. I’d keep it.

Well, since it is not my car it won’t be too hard to see it go :)

There’s an FD at a garage not far from my house with a flat driver’s side rear tire. I’m guessing it’s not there because that’s the only problem...it’s been there for a couple of weeks. I’m sorely tempted to ask what’s up with it, even though I don’t have the spare cabbage laying around should they offer it to me for sale.... sigh

There aren’t words in the English language that are strong enough to describe my lust for both of those Mazdas.

I want that truck, and I want it BAD! Just curious, because I definitely cannot afford it, but how much would that cost me?

Damn, that one looks well made... it’s a VERY good price for it. Well made VW conversions are rare. Then again Every tend to be a lot cheaper than Sambar...

What are you looking for? I can maybe find it, but super specific request (such unknown car with such options in such color...etc) are usually realistically hard to fill...

It depends on your state and the size of said car. Shipping to anywhere in the US will range from 550$ for a keicar to about about 950$ for a full size van. You have to get it to the port from whereever it is in Japan so if a port is closeby, usually an extra 50$ in shipping there... You also have to get it from the auction to the person you bought it through. That’s an extra 100 to 400$ depending on how far your guy in Japan is. All the car I sell have “landed” prices. It includes all that and shipping to your local port. Simplifies my life and makes it easier for the buyer to understand what he really has to pay.
Then importation into the states.... I recommend awis.us as a broker... 280$ per Bill of Lading, ISF form included. Then you have to pay 2.5% taxes, 100-150$ in port fees for unloading and an extra 100$ in TWIC escort to pick up your car in the restricted area of the port.
Then it depends on your state. registration will be the exact same cost as any out of state vehicle...

The Miata is cheap... 4k$ shipping to the US included. You still have to import it but that bring the total to around 4700$ or so.

The truck itself is $2900, shipping to the US included. Add an extra $600 or so to have it fully imported and ready for the DMV.

I get Cappuccinos regularly... Currently have none, but that won’t stay like that very long... Price go from 5000$ for something that’S great mechanically, but maybe with scraches and paint defect here and there, or not very nice interior and so on, to 9000$ landed for something really super nice. I have only ever sold ONE $9000 Cappuccino and it was museum perfect. All the cars I sell are thoroughly “tested” though :D
I am not responsible for the website, just to be clear lol... I do take care of the facebook account though.

An importable subaru legacy turbo wagon. Manual, in white. Fairly flexible on options, but not color or transmission. First gen preferred, second ok.
Hopefully not too specific. Duncan imports had one for like 6 grand already imported but I missed out.
Not in a particular hurry, would be looking to take possession summer/fall 2019 as I’ll be out of the country for up to a year prior to that.

Yeah, that’s unicorn territory man... Those things simply don’t exist here anymore. I’m not saying it’s impossible to find but to give you an idea there was ZERO 25 year old or more manual legacy wagon sold anywhere at auction in Japan in the past three months... I think there was one NA one... in another color. So don’t even think about a white turbo one lol.

It really isn’t that hard. You just need good attention to detail for the paperwork side. I put this together last fall...
